You’d be surprised! Although you have complete flexibility to follow the course your own way, we recommend at least having a look at each lesson. Sometimes, small adjustments in pronunciation can lead to big improvements in your accent. If your native language has sounds that are very similar to Spanish, you’ll probably be able to move through some lessons quickly and jump to the next one without any trouble.

The goal isn’t to copy a specific accent or sound like someone from Madrid, Bogotá or Buenos Aires. It’s to help you speak more clearly, with better rhythm and a more natural flow – without losing your identity.

In the course, we use a standard variety of Spanish from central-northern Spain as a base, because it’s clear and well documented for teaching purposes.

But you’ll also hear examples and explanations from other Spanish varieties, so you can adapt depending on the country, region or situation you’re in.

The important thing isn’t to sound like someone else – it’s to sound clearer, more natural, and more like yourself, no matter which variety of Spanish you’re learning.
